What we're up to...

Mackinaw Straits Dives
A few weeks ago, we headed to Northern Michigan to the Straits of Mackinaw. We were able to get a few dives in on 2 pristine wrecks ... the Martin Stalker and the Sandusky.
Both ships sank in the mid 1800s. It was a refreshing change from our almost daily drift dives in the St. Clair River here in Marine City. Visibility was great, and the wrecks pretty much in tact. At recreational depths of only 75-100 feet, there was enough ambient light so that no dive lights were needed.

We have a short video if you'd like to see it. Make sure to have your sound on. [watch video]
Note: the Dive portion of this video was taken with the Hero3 Wrist Mount Camera we also rep for. More info on the Hero3.

Thanks to our Dive Rite dealer in Royal Oak Michigan, Rec Diving, for putting us in touch with Captain Larry of Straits Scuba Center. We highly recommend them.
