Hello Everyone!
The dive season appears to be in full swing. I am hearing from most shops we talk to that business is excellent! That is great news. Deanna and I have been diving often here in the Great Lakes and plans are now in place for attendance at some events throughout the midwest, especially the upcoming Dive Rite Tech Tours. If you haven't made plans to attend a tech tour, you should. They are in August and September at Mermot Springs IL, and Gilboa Quarry. [more info]

Airacobra found! -
Update 07/03/07 - This photo as well as much research should be credited to a good friend of mine, Ray Grant. Ray has volumes of information on the P-39 as well as many other Great Lakes dives. Ray's P-39 page , Ray's Dive Pages.

As mentioned previously, a friend of mine knew the whereabouts of a 1943 Bell P-39 Airacobra that crashed in the St. Clair River during WWII. He found it, and check out the picture in this block. That tire reads "Firestone Sky Champion". He also found the pilot's parachute buckle, with pieces of the chord still attached as well as piles of aluminum. We plan on going back next week.

This Months Featured Dealer

Ed and the gang at Ozark Dive Company recently achieved something few other shops have done - achieved Platinum Level Dealer Status with Dive Rite.

One thing to note is, Ozark Dive Company does not have a "huge" Dive Rite Display. Ed tells me the display is just a 6x5 area within the shop. In addition as the pictures below show, Dive Rite items are also mixed in with other items, such as the fins, and mask display. The key to selling Dive Rite products is having some Dive Rite products.
